The circular layout of the garden has been inspired by the owner's love for motorcycles.
The circle is referring to a wheel as well as to a circuit, but instead of giving way to speed and acceleration, the design is inviting to go for a relaxed stroll through small fractions of a natural environment, suggested by the planting of ornamental grasses and perennials often found in a prairie setting.
The main terrace is built from smooth, grey concrete slabs; a small water feature in front of the lounge area completes this relaxing area. Colorful ceramic planters are creating a contrast to the sobriety of the concrete floor.
On the other end of the garden a slightly raised timer terrace and a new summerhouse are inviting to enjoy the evening sun.
The kitchen garden is located in the area behind the green house and is featuring six vegetable beds limited by wooden frames.
The garden is designed to celebrate the beauty of the natural countryside; the exaggeration of the circle theme is suggesting a slightly humorous point of view.
