This is a very small Town Garden in Brussels of about 10 x 5 meters. It is surrounded by garden walls and a high building at the South of the garden is blocking the light from about 2 pm in Summer.
The owner's wish was to take their morning espresso in the summer sun and to enjoy their outdoor space as a lively sanctuary. A lot of thought went into the colors of the garden and house walls to let them disappear visually as much as possible.
The surrounding buildings and gardens have been included into the concept so that the colors of the redesigned garden are integrated into the city landscape.
We opted for the terrace on the shadier side because of the better view and privacy.
During night times spots are projecting dramatic shadows on the walls which is delightful no matter the weather or season.
